current assets amount broken

so sitting here doing the math of my current assets and its saying that i have 180mill current assets. my on hand balance is 80mill and my ship sells for about 90mill. thats only 170mill. im confused as how i only have 170mill in actual money if i sell my ship but current assets says i have 180.... i have no other ships btw any ideas...?

Not knowing what ship and modules you have but -stab in the dark- could it be total assets if you sold all your modules before selling the ship. Does that make up the missing 10 mil? (FYI: Selling the modules and downgrading anything else before selling the ship gives you a higher return.) EDIT to add> Not sure if total assets also does not include (not calculate) the % depreciation in selling the ship either.

no i sold everything off of my T9 and that leaves me with 60mil to sell the ship. that still leaves me 10 mill shy of what my current assets

i would put in a ticket but they would just feed me some response that they are looking into it. kinda pointless... really wish FD would get their ish together. getting tried of all the oversights and mistakes that the players are having to play for

Well I guess one factor is that maybe the depreciation of the ship is not calculated in. If so...while it is a true number for assets on hand, it would be nice for a more accurate number without having to subtract the depreciation of the ship.

Yes I have notice this and as I have three ship my total assets should reflect all three ships and all the cash I have, hope they get this sorted for the future..

it only currently reflects the ship you are in right now, so if you left that ship and went into a sidewinder and stored your t9, you would see current assets drop by the value of your t9.

I agree, before when I had multiple ships it use to bug the heck out of me how the total assets changed depending on the ship I was in and not the total assets of *all ships I own*.

There is a forum to report bugs and if you had looked there you would have found that it is being discussed already.

yeah well discussion isn't fixing the issue and neither does putting in tickets. thanks for the help

If you add your argument to the existing ones then Frontier realise that more people are bothered by the issue. I'm just saying that splitting it up and having several people complaining in the reports forum and one person here doesn't help you. Go to the relevant place and add your concerns to the same log which pushed it to the top again.

if tons of ppl are already complaining about it and nothing has been done yet what makes you think one more person saying something will change that fact? the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over expecting a different result. so why in the hell would i post on the support forum about this issue. all they are going tot do is turn a blind eye to the issue as usual. so why not put the issue in a different place and see what happens?
