Does the "current assets" value shown in the right hand cockpit screen equate to the value of my ship?

Plus any improvements and you cash credits.

Current ship/modules and money yes. However if you have more than 1 ship it doesn't factor in the extras.

Does the "Current Asset" calculation use your ship's original purchase value or exchange value (e.g the ~10% depreciated value you get when trying to exchange and purchase another ship)?

I just did some calculations and it appears to calculate your ship's full value (100%)

No, this is an old thread, it is now your total of everything in game you own including credits, all ships and any cargo you may have.
