Also, I got a friend of mine to jump for Premium Beta just recently. The price makes it difficult to get people to bite, though he said that it's definitely worth the money after having played the sp combat build.

Yeah based on my feedback a friend of mine jumped from Beta2 to Beta1. He is now trying to convince his dad to not buy SC but get Elite instead lol.

@Patrick_68000, I can definitely foresee more than 50K even before gamma.

The two impending releases will propel non-backers to commit to basic game and or plus expansions. Long-term I believe the premium beta option is of extreme value.

Same here. When FD start to show up goods we will see lot of premium beta upgrades and sales. With expansion pass it is similar to KS 85 bgp offering - it's a golden.

There are still people who follow the development of the game very closely, but haven´t yet backed. Like me (registered in the forum this week, but have followed closely nearly from the start).

With every passing week and day i´m more likely to give in. Premium beta €120.00 is way too much for my salary, but regular beta €60.00 is becoming very attractive.

Don't forget you get the addons with the premium beta, but not with the regular beta backing level.

I've only played Alpha 1.1 and watched the 4.0 streams and I can't stop thinking about it. I can't even play other games I just keep thinking about Elite. Now I know how everyone felt when they first played Elite. It's completely changed my thought process. Now I'm trying to keep myself distracted until May 30th. This fresh install sits tuned, idle, and waiting

Welcome to my world...I've pretty much been like that since I first saw a tweet about them launching their KS...

That's why I caved in and bought Alpha back in December...don't even want to think about what mental state I would have been in now if I hadn't had these builds to play around with.

Elite and FE2 were phenomenal and were bringing an immense sense of total freedom

@kilvenny, post mainstream computing media alpha 4 reflection will see continuation of high numbers. Fans have been at the forefront promoting the current builds. Imagine the numbers during the beta period!

I expect to see some uptake, but a 100 pounds is still a lot of money. Standard Beta will create a much bigger jump since 50 pounds is more reasonable for most people and the game will be a lot more complete by that point. Gamma even more so of course.

I've always seen this game as a slow burner to begin with. It will take some time to gain traction, but when it does...hold on to your hats!
