I'm convinced that the fundamental mission offering changes aren't a bug on FDEV part, but an architectural change for rewards.
This is a huge mistake implemented as is.
A) This is half a solo-centric and half group (wing) orientated game. Meaning, half, or probably over half, of your fan base don't want to wing up or do any of the wing missions. My brother plays the game and we're both the same way. I can't of course speak for the entire community, but I think you should keep this in mind.
B) You took something not broken, and tried to fix it. The space trucker missions were just fine, with rewards acceptable. It's a very popular way to make money, explore other systems, etc. etc. Now at many stations, it's being reported they're disappearing in favor of a plethora of wing space trucker missions.
C) Because of your database of missions available, you need to streamline the mission offering system. The community, in my opinion, needs a filter to focus on the types of missions they are interested in. Forcing a player to take black box missions, or kill missions by dumping dozens into the factions is just plain sloppy. Let us filter, please.
With all this being said, not all commanders are seeing an issue. I've been lurking on the boards and several have commented everything is fine. Things are NOT fine in the region I hang out at. I rely on missions to pass my time and make money, and they have been ridiculous lately. The offerings per station have been completely out of whack in relation to how many types of missions there are (meaning, 70% black box missions, OR 75% wing missions when there are soooo many other types).
I also understand that faction changes will kind of change the way missions are offered, but if I'm in a High tech system, and they're in boom, I should expect to see a balance of wing and solo delivery missions spread out within the faction. I'm not seeing that, at ALL since 3.0 was released.
