Custom Acrylic Button Panel for Elite Dangerous

Hi guys
Just wanted to share the button panel I made to use in Elite.
Not that Im short in buttons with a PRO Throttle CH and the Thrustmaster t16000m, but the more buttons I have the best and more fun ^^ Im even using Voice Attack too.
I used a very used controller for arcade simulators. Its perfect for me since I just wanted momentary pulsators. I guess switches would be too complicated to use while wearing the Oculus hehe
The controller is a Xin-Mo Dual Controller, Type ID:XM-02. You can easily find it in ebay for 25-30€. If youre from EEUU I guess will be easier and cheaper to get controllers like the popular IPAC2.
The buttons are cheap ones from ebay too. Easy to find looking for "Momentary Push Button"
And for the box, I made it in Acrylic since I can use a CO2 laser machine at work, but you can use anything you like. A sloped electronic project box will be perfect. You can easily find it in ebay too :D

Some pics of the finished button panel.

Wanted to post a link with the archives in Corel and Ilustrator I made for this panel, but seems I cant post links yet as new user in forums.
Ask me in pm if anyone have access to a CNC or Laser machine and want to use or modify the design.

Nice build.

I recently finished my arcade bartop using an IPAC2 interface and have quite a few arcade buttons left over - you have just given me a good idea on how to put them to good use!!

I can appreciate the effort that's gone into this. It's an incredibly neat looking piece of kit and the cabling seems to be very tidy. It would be great to see this in some coloured acrylic also. The cap head bolts look good too.

How about some edge lighting on the side panel? It would look even more awesome!

Rep.

Edit: can't believe you only have 2 comments on this awesomeness so far ...

Thanks guys!
I thought about the coloured acrylic too. Black and orange looks so cool and I love to work with it. Or fluorescent acrylic since it has already 2 strong UV leds inside. But I dont use to work with that kind of acrylic and I had plenty of free no coloured ones there hehe. But in a next project I definitely have to work with those coloured ones, and play with more lightning as you suggest. Love the "alien look" in these kind of custom jobs.
