Ship Builds & Load Outs Custom Fitted Power Plant?

Hi, I dont have ED yet, but I will get a copy of my own soon, and I know that I want to fly a Vulture. The "problem" is that the Vulture has a limited PP, it is fine, but it would be nice to have a better one. And while browsing the forums I found a post saying that one can get "custom fitted PP", which has higher power output, in the Alpha Centauri system at the Hutton Orbital thats about 7 million Ls from the jump-in... Yeah... I am 95% confident that its a troll post, but, just in case, I would like to ask wether anyone can confirm it existing / existing somewhere else / not existing.

You diffidently saw a straight troll post. Power plants go by size 1-7 and class E-A, that does sound pretty neat though if each ship had its own specific Power Plant that was "custom" or "fitted" so that its truly optimized so like a A4 Fitted in a Vulture would give you maybe 16.2 MW instead of the standard A4's 15.6 would probably weigh a little more or less than the standard and cost a lot more.

In edshipyard I tried some different Vulture setups, I am thinking of making it a shield tank, and putting on only 2 C3 Pulse. With this setup if one puts all modules that are not needed for combat at lower priority, and is willing to sacrifice the ability to use SCB with weapons out, the power is enough. And the lower rated thruster means I can boost more often :)

I have no real problem with managing the available power on the Vulture, only it would have been nice to have a bit more :)
