Custom Inversions?

Has anybody had any luck or found a work around like there was in Alpha 1 to create custom inversions?

I was was so excited about Alpha 2 but not have half loops or being able to create custom inversions in kind of meh with this update.

Don't get me wrong, the trains are beautiful the new coaster types are amazing but not being able to create a pretzel loop on a flying coaster is a little disheartening considering this update focuses on coasters.

Had that problem while realizing that the "racing coaster" doesnt go full 90° which is, i guess, the first thing you wanna built with those coasters... a kingda ka :p

Sorry, but the new Coaster building Tool is a Disaster. If I use the Immelmann Loop by the Wingcoaster, I get many issues. The Track is in the wrong Direction of this coaster Type. I Think they confound it with the Immelmann of Invertet Coaster Type, there is the same issue, but the other way round. And on underground I can`t see what I build. And And And many more. [cry]

It is not possible to build beautiful loops. I am to despair with the tool in Alpha 2, it was not really great, in Alpha 1 was better.

Granted there are a few problems with the new builder such as:
  1. Limited roll
  2. Not being able to see underground when building (this may be a limitation in the terrain tool instead)
  3. Difficulty creating custom inversions
  4. lack of a half loop section
  5. maybe a few things more that I haven't run across yet
But, I think that if these limitations can be corrected the builder will just need some time to get used to using.

Totally agree with you, custom inversions and 360º banking is a must. We cant go stepper than 45º in the Floorless coaster neither, i'm pretty disappointed with the limitations of this coaster builder, the rest of the update is just amazing tho [up].

They said there will a coaster builder update coming in the next few days, Can't remember which thread but it'll address many of these issues.

Can confirm. The coaster editor is far to limiting for my liking.

best to list your gripes in the alpha feedback forum where they get looked at. There's defo issues, so let's get them adressed [up]
I'll list mine after the fix tomorrow/day after that takes out a few of the glaring bugs (anounced somewhere)

Unfortunatly I have to agree... =(
The Coaster editor is frustrating. However I manage to do some custom inversion, but I do have to work them a lot. [cry]

If I had to offer a sugestion for building underground, I think a "Mesh view" (Where the ground is replaced with a transparent wire mesh to show us where the ground is and that we can see through) would be cool...)

I'd still like a "Hide object" tool as well so I can manipulate embedded objects easier without having to delete and replace the object that's in the way...
