Custom Made 3D Models ?

would I be able to make a 3D model for your game Planet Coaster as I have just graduated from university as a 3D animation and games development artist.

I was hoping I could model/make you guys a ride car that resembles the scoop from the Spider man and Transformers ride at Universal Studios in which is omnidirectional and can be programmed to rotate around the X,Y and Z axis whilst following along a track, I will leave the wheels out so your artists can pick the model up (maya) and merge it to your track desire and specifications, this will allow me to complete a list of requirements asked pacifically by my lecturers to enable me to gain placement on a masters course in 3D modelling and animation, this will be free with no copyright or payment required as the model would be a gift from me (birch) to you, if you use the model or not in game is completely up to you even if the models finished.

Instead of just asking for create one model you could ask for them for job with your qualification. I would recommend, you create your model and and send it together with all other application documents to Frontier.

Some of us are waiting and hoping for ability to add custom 3d stuff. :) Not that i am able to make, but at least expands the useability.

Of course there's the issue of clashing with artistic style as Planet Coaster has a very special artistic style.

Basic things will be easy, plants/trees, walls, basic shapes, maybe even some animatronics. Look at some of the stuff people have already made in hope of adding into the game some day [up] https://forums.planetcoaster.com/showthread.php/21667-Post-your-UGC-thread?

I agree that basic Things are relatively easy compared to whole Themes or Scenery Pieces. But i have to admit, i am not really such a Fan of UGC. Yeah, you all might hate me for it but let me say this:

I have nothing against you using it. I probably won't. Still for the sake of expanding this Game for all the People that want it +1 from me to this. My hope is that the Workshop for UGC Items won't get flooded with crappy Items.

Considering how the community of players makes amazing creations in this game, I think UGC will be fine. If somebody makes "low quality" UGC stuff it will be downvoted or ignored. Those who create high quality UGC will be upvoted and recognized. I mean look at those concept images people have already shared, if you saw those in a video of a park you would think they are legit official items that blend right in. Just look at the stuff people did in RCT3, I'm sure PC will not be reduced to poor quality by adding UGC, even RCTW had some UGC that was high quality (IMO)

Also we already have some UGC (billboards, basic shapes, etc)

Ah about the Workshop:

It might be true, that the positive votes will bring the Quality stuff to the top and the poorer stuff down in the list BUT:

A lot of Good stuff will be ignored. And you know why? Take a look at the Workshop as it is now. People with an already strong following getting muscled to the top, because every follower dutyfully votes "like". Unknown people will never appear on the Front page for example because nobody knows them. And even if thousands of people download the Items they will never vote. I see it happen every time. It is a "Rich get richer" Situation because it is those guys that get shown in the Streams because they are on the Front page and therefore through that extra exposure get even more popular. Underdogs often get ignored.

And i think the same thing will happen to UGC.

The only way to change that would be to weigh the downloads more than the "likes". Because as it is right now, the number of Downloads don't mean anything.

Yes sometimes (unfortunately) good blueprints do get ignored - but that is a different topic that has nothing to do with whether or not UGC will be of high quality, and even if somebody creates low quality content it doesnt reduce the quality of another persons work
