Basically I want to be able to place my own permanent markers on the galaxy map. It would make remembering which system had what a lot easier, since a lot of them have crazy or similar names.
For bonus points let us change the color and symbol on the mark so we can develop a system of mapping out the galaxy for our own use. The tools that are there for filtering and whatnot are great, but there's a lot of other things i want to remember about star systems, like which ones I found gold in, or where i've already explored, or the system with the station that has the ship i want. With both colors and symbols you could develop a two dimensional code. i.e. red is dangerous and green is safe, but triangle is prosperous and circle is bare.
