Custom PC article on Cobra

In the latest issue of Custom PC Issue 132, Sept 2014 (p90-91), there is a small 2 page article on Frontier Developments Cobra engine. Including some eye candy screenshots. If you read these forums and follow the Dev diarys there is no new information to glean from this article. But I thought you would like to know anyway.

Is there any way you could snap a couple of pictures of the eye-candy and upload to the forums and summarize the article? I don't want to subscribe to another magazine and this one seems a bit pricey.

It will be interesting to see if FD can license out the Cobra engine as they have mentioned this being a goal iirc. There is lots of competition so they need to bring a lot to the table. Unreal licenses for $19/month unlimited. I wonder if Frontier will have a similar scheme so working schlubbs might have a looky-loo at no risk of financial ruin.

It's mainly a summary of Elite: Dangerous rather than an article of the Cobra Engine. It mentions the other games the engine has been used for, and it also talks about some of the features of the game; 400 billion systems, to scale planets, trading and ship AI. Nothing we haven't already seen or played.

There are five screenshots - all the same as what can be seen in game right now. An asteroid field, one in station, another with a planet in the distance and a burst of laser shooting from the front of your ship, one other screen shot showing off the engine flairs.

And that's about it. :)
