Custom Quick messages

I'd like to suggest the ability to make a set of "prerecorded" messages to use in communications. Set a hot key to numpad 1-9 or so to send out pre made messages that you have saved like "Greetings CMDR o7" and "This is a stick up! Drop 2 tons of your cargo or be fired up".

I think this would add a little immersion and make it easier then having to type out commonly used messages. (I'm a big fan of saying a quick hello to passersbys in space). It would be lovely to simply have to press one button! Also a lot easier then copy and paste from notepad (which doesnt always work for some reason)

Can be done in many ways on pc with external tools, but why should we master race epic super dudes who are clearly superior in every way get all the cool stuff???

Put it in game for the gross console scum everyone despises because they are terrible for owning and playing a game on a specific device.

Here another idea and it hit close to what you have. Voice to type message. Basically you hit a key and say your message and it types it out. Or if the other player has audio they hear your voice.

I still wouldn't see them though, any unarmed ship that wants to escape can't afford to stop and read messages, you run first, read messages later, that's the only way to do it.

Well my sister uses voice to type due to her hands can't type like they use to. So when she on Facebook all her messages done by voice.
