Custom shield colours, please.

So that we can match our weapons/engines and shields.

I love the utility of biweave shields but hate the purple colour and would love a nice cyan to go with my weapons and engines.

I agree. I'd love green on my Xbox Cobra, and red on PC.

Why not. Everything else has custom colours.

The only reason I can think of as to why they haven’t introduced shield colours is due to the visual effects of hitting the shield telling you what kind of shield the ship currently has.
It’s not that much of a reason though, a quick look at their subsystems tells you that and you don’t even have to shoot them to find out.

We need our orange shields (and weapons, seriously why isn’t there orange weapons?) to go with our orange UI and thrusters!

Less of a reason than weapon effects even as you cannot glean these from sub systems and have to see/experience their effect first.
