Custom Ship Slot Engineer

I would like to see a Engineer that can Change Ship Module Slots Size.

He would be able to change a single size 2 slot into 2 size 1 slots, where i can put 2 size 1 modules into,
therefore not losing valuable space.

Also with certain materials, he could enlarge a slot by a factor of 1,
and change Slots one size larger or smaller, by adding or taking from any other slot.

Because we need more Module Space in our Ships.

This is one of those "gets asked every other day" threads and the bottom line is it won't happen.

Module classes are all balanced in their own way; they do not divide equally. Some modules are drastically more efficient at lower classes, others are better on the biggest slot possible. For that reason, the slots a ship is given is part of its inherent balancing.
