Custome habitat signs

Hey there peeps,

I am new to this forum, so I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but:
Is there a way to load my own illustrations in this game to create signs and infoboards? I have seen people creating infoboards out of prim objects in the game but I would like to reduce poly count and object count for better performance (my hardware is not the best) but I like to have a wider range of signs. I remeber for planet coaster some retexture options so maybe there is something for planet zoo, too?

Thank you

Hi there, this is a highly requested feature as it does allow for full customization of zoos and exhibits, so you are not alone. Frontier Community Manager Chante Goodman has stated that the team behind Planet Zoo continues to work on bringing this feature to Planet Zoo, it is however not expected to make its debut this year. Planet Coaster an older game by frontier, very similar to Planet Zoo did have this feature, it is my opinion that an enhanced and specialized version of this feature might be the reason for it not appearing within the base game. The future looks promising for this game, so keep on checking the forum, you never know what they will announce next.

Thank you very much for the reply. It sounds realy promissing and I am looking forward to this. The picture you send, are they mockups the community manager showed or are they yours? I love the Mandrill painting and layout btw.

I created the signs, and the set ups, then exchanged the education board images. This is somewhat limited however since you are bound by the amount of animals in the game. In Planet Coaster as an example since you can upload your own files to the game, it is unlimited. There are also a variety of billboard canvases and projection screens of different sizes, where in Planet Zoo, currently there is only one. I do envision that when this feature is implemented within the game, the canvases will be totally different, as even the current educational board looks like a tv screen and it is somewhat unrealistic as a sign. There are so many possibilities for designing educational sign canvases of different shapes and sizes. A curved canvas like the 4m walls currently found within the game would be ideal, and realistic, since not all educational and thematic signs found in zoos are displayed in flat canvases. We will have to wait and see what the developers come up with, but my expectations are high, they seem extremely talented and keep on getting better with every DLC. I believe the frontier team has matured tremendously when it comes to designing zoo specific content from the time when the base game was release until now. I'm attaching the mandrill sign you liked in case you want to use it, I have created well over 500 different displays well in advance of this feature.
