Customisation of the characters

Hello,

I would like to know if in a near future there s going to be more customisation concerning the character aspects in this game.

At the moment, it's quite limited in terms of representation of the diversity of the people from our planet Earth. People with afro-american
chinese, russian, african, indian, latin, and others origins, are missing at my character aspect creation. Well, other features like size or weight
plus completing the aspect already existing...

I don't know in terms of scenario in this game, if in the future, there s going to be other played races from other planetes, I dont know the
whole scenario of this game and its development : aren't we cruising a galaxy, there must be something else than human there... :)

I d be glad at least like others to see this customisation updated. Would it bring then more peops into this game ?

Thanks

Humanity has obviously homogenized in the distant future portrayed in ED. You can't even tell the gender of most NPCs any more, they look so similar.

What game are you looking at?

In the holo-me there are presets which cover most racial-characteristic groups, you can then customise those for a more personalised appearance.

If you are talking about NPCs then you need to get out more - there is a wide representation visually and audibly.

Mostly visually. And unfortunately they cover many spectrums of ugly. All in all, you are right though, your own characters face can be modified a lot. For some reasons, EDs character designer gravitates a bit towards ugly or uncanny. The exact reasons for that, good question, it might actually be that some options are actually "too open", allowing us to get small things a bit too far out. While we can't directly tell what's wrong, we can feel that something is wrong.

So yes, it might be a bit more time intensive than in other character generators, but we actually can do a lot on the characters visual side.

On the audio side i disagree. While we do have different ATC voices, they are just a bunch. Not a whole lot of variety there. Which of course is understandable, getting a huge selection of different ATC voice actors would require plenty of work and thus would cost a lot. While only providing a bit more flavour of the same messages spoken by other people.

The gain would not justifiy the additional costs. It's good enough for the game, but i wouldn't consider it to be a wide representation on the audio side.

No it isn't "wide" and could benefit from a much greater pool to give much more variety. I was really referring to the fact that there is a diversity of accented-voices reflecting a range of backgrounds in contrast to the OPs apparent feeling that those (and the different appearances) were not represented. It occurs to me that the OP might be using a different localisation and so perhaps there is a difference in range of audio in game for that.

Since the OP stated "are missing at my character aspect creation " I really concentrated on the holo-me customisation and added the NPC appearance and sound just for completeness.
