CV1 issues, no sound and overexposed spaceports

I got my CV1 today (been using a DK2 for a long time) and I've instantly got a couple of issues:

1) I get no sound (in Elite) out of the CV1 headphones. Elite's still sending the sound to my desktop speakers. (I have the "HMD (Speakers)" option selected in the settings.

2) I get massive over-saturation of white light inside spaceports. The inside of my cockpit is literally white as is the outside view. (GTX980 with up to date drivers.)

1) Pretty sure you have to launch Elite Dangerous from the Oculus App for the headphones to work.
2) Turn gamma all the way down. It is going to be brighter inside while in a spaceport, but shouldn't be super white.

Yep that's "normal". Have a read of this thread, I found a workaround (see last post) to easily switch audio with one click:

Hey there Simon853.
1) You need to go to your pc control panel and select 'hardware and sound'. Click to the 'sound' selection and check that you have your Rift set as the default sound device. I suspect you have your desktop speakers set as the default. I regularly swap between rift and pc speakers so do this often.
Its also worth checking that your microphone is set to rift as the default too (click on the recording tab to check).
1a) alternative - follow MAIN SEQUENCE's suggestion above.
2) I run gamma pretty high - it helps mask the god rays. I don't get the same problem re. over saturation (I have 970) so not sure if gamma is the issue (I've tried it low and high. Low is more god rays imho).

Good luck!
