CV1 - no sound through headphones.

I've tried the different settings in-game, 'HMD (Speakers) and 'HMD (Headphones)', but my sound only comes out of my PC speakers. Any idea how I can get the sound to come out of the HMD headphones?

If you bought thought the Oculus store it currently works thought the headphones. If you have the ED launcher or steam apparently this will be fixed in 2.1 - beta access week ending 8th of may... release 2-3 weeks later perhaps?

No idea why this is the case though.

Did you try to disconnect the Speakers ?
In the Oculus Home, do you hear the fireplace sound?
If you have a Audio Manager, while ingame, look if there are other audio output options.

OK, so hopefully fixed in the beta that's dropping today. Good news :)

I haven't bought the game through Oculus Home and am using the standard launcher.

Didn't think of disconnecting speakers as they are plugged in at the back of the PC. Might try this thought out of curiosity :)

Yes, sounds work fine in Oculus Home and other games/demos.

Simple make the oculus the default audio output device in windows, that should fix it.

I guess that's a good fallback in this case, but would prefer not to have to do this (switching between speakers when not in VR and back again would be a pain). Good suggestion though :)
