As posted a couple of days ago, I picked up a CV1 from Best Buy a couple of days ago. After upgrading my PC with a compatible USB 3.0 expansion card (grrrr), I got it up and running with my 3 year old Titan today. Surprised that the card worked, even though it worked with the DK2 (GTX 1080 incoming, though). Only "issue" now is that the Oculus software likes to tell me that my PC doesn't meet specs because of its i5 3570K - overclocked to 4.5Ghz. That's complete nonsense, as far as I can tell.

In a nutshell, the CV1 is a big step up in terms of clarity. The screen door effect from the DK2 has gone, and the picture in nearly as clear as a 1080p monitor, which is nice. I'll try supersampling once I get the 1080. My only gripe are those God-darned God rays. Jeez - they're everywhere. They're so prevalent that it sometimes feels like condensation forming on the inside of the CV1 (like perspiration with the DK2). Not great, but it's still a big step up from the DK2.

The CV2 will be awesome.
