CV1 - Tracking not smooth vertical (looking up and down stutter)

Hi All,

I've had my CV1 for a week, and finally got round to trying ED.

(Or atleast I'd hoped).

After setting the 3D to HMD - I looked around my ship.

Its very uncomfortable, as the tracking is not smooth - looking up and down especially (seems to be certain points) - i get a stutter or jump while looking.

I've tried restarting the game, checking settings, etc - nothing seems to be working. - Latest drivers etc

I should note - tracking / my CV1 works fine in everything else.

What am I doing wrong? :(

Thanks,

Edit: Turning down my supersampling setting fixed it.

(So perhaps an FPS drop issue?)

While I'm here, couple of Q's -

Does SLi work in VR?

and am I suppost to have an image on both the Oculus and my normal screen?

Just woundering why performance would suddenly be an issue :p

Can you check your CPU usage while everything is running?

Hit control+shift+esc and if you're on windows7/8/10 you should see what the CPU is doing.

No, SLI doesn't work in ED currently... you're apparently better off disabling SLI and just using one 3D card.

Still waiting on my CV1 delivery - I'm pretty sure you can enable/disable the mirror screen (ie turn your regular display monitor on/off when in VR, from the Oculus settings (not in ED).

Supersampling at the current CV1 resolution and 90hz is extremely demanding. My 970 can't handle it at all.

From the reports I have read the 980Ti can handle 1.5x pretty well.

The mirror screen won't hurt your performance.

Thanks for the info guys,

SLI not working with ED VR would possibly explain it.

I have 2x 980Ti's - turning super sampling down to 1.0x fixes the stutter (with SLi enabled - will have to try turning it off!)

Once working it was my best VR experience yet - but, I sadly noticed a lot of red tinting :(
