CV1/Vive and HUD colours

As all DK2 people know, changing your HUD colour to a green base helps a lot with the clarity of the text etc but it does mess up the colours of other artefacts which isn't great.

Does any one know if this will still be a requirement when CV1 is release or if it is on the Vive? As much as I don't personally like the original HUD colour scheme, it would be good to use the game as FD intended.

I doubt it as both devices use different screens than the DK2. A green HUD isn't really a requirement for DK2 - personally I find the orange HUD just fine to read.

You've got better eye sight than me then. I had real difficulty reading the small orange text but it varied from ship to ship. My current green based HID scheme makes it much much better but I'd rather not have to have it indefinitely.

I too find that changing the HUD to Green is much easier to read - especially when you couple this with the visual tweaks that SweetFX gives you.

However I cannot find any way to change the BETA access HUDs to what I want. Is there a way to do this?

The Vive has a higher resolution, but still has a pen-tile display.

Don't know the specifics of the CV1 screen sub-pixel arrangement, but from the comments that I've read from people who have used them, I have a feeling they've moved away from a pen-tile screen, as people stress on the CV1 pre-production units how little there is of a screen-door effect. They're also doing some filtering in the lenses to smooth that out. I'm thinking in the CV1 it might not be as big of an issue.
