CV1 with Xbox controller: unable to select route on Galaxy map

Is anyone able to select the popup menu options in the Galaxy map using the Xbox controller on Oculus? I am new to this game. Once I select a star system the popup menu opens with 'select', 'route', etc, but I cannot figure out how to change the selection. Thanks!

Answered my own question. When I tried it tonight the left / right on the D pad changes the selection in the popup menu. I swear this was not working when I tried it yesterday, but I went into the map settings tonight and possibly changed something there that made the difference.

Did you have to set up any keybindings for that to work? If I press right on the D-pad, I get taken to the system map. Hitting left from the system map will take me back to the galaxy map. I haven't found any keybindings for accessing the buttons though.

This was VERY frustrating for me! I could never find key bindings that would allow me to select that popup menu within the galaxy map! Then one time I accidentally reached for the keyboard and hit the mouse instead, and realized the mouse was active within the galaxy map!! So now i just use the mouse whenever I am in the map to select menu options.

I still do not like the xbox controller scheme overall in the galaxy map. I find it difficult to traverse all the different axis directions when trying to find nearby systems above and below my current position.

From what ive heard theyre fixing the galaxy map for vr users in the next patch... fingers crossed just intime for my 5yr mission to boldly go where....
