Having tried a few times to play the game with k/m combo thought it would be best to dig out my old cyborg evo saitek stick. While i am waiting to see if this still works and the kids going to bed so i can get my computer back. Are the buttons mostly mapped automatically if not what suggestions do you guys have for the best set up to fly and fight in game

Using an Evo Force myself, though force feedback is not in the game. Throttle control should be obvious, I've set X-axis to pitch, Y-axis to yaw and Z-axis to roll. The game does use a default layout, but finding your own best settings is worth it.

Meh, the Z-axis just died on me...
