All the charts are based upon the official data (which had a very timely release this week) from the stickied post in this subforum
Known Merits
Aisling topped out the total merits again, with ALD second and Hudson third.
Winters had an increase in total merits, and so did Grom, moving both of them above Sirius, who did the 6th most total merits.
On the effective chart, Aisling was first, and Hudson second, but Winters had a large increase which was due to 4 preparations that went through, and did slightly more total effective merits than ALD.
This seperated this week into 2 tiers, with a large 4 and small 7, rather than the usual 3 tiers of 3, 2, and 6 powers.
Unknown Merits
On the total opposition chart Hudson, Winters and Mahon all received a very similar amount of undermining.
All of the expansion opposition went into Torvals and Grom expansions.
On the effective opposition chart, ALD moved into first place, with slightly more effective undermining than that done to Hudson.
Patreus also got an increase in effective undermining, moving them up to 4th most opposed.
Aisling, Antal and Torval had 0 systems undermined.
Prep War!
Cycle 104 shall go down in history as Prep War Week.
Hudson/Winters and ALD have probably put in more preps in competition to each other in a past cycle, but I think this cycle had the most number of "prep wars" going on at once, and I think it was a great change of pace from the normal consolidation tactics.
What did seem strange was the system Aisling Prepped, AF Leporis (AF Preporis for anyone who remembers), which has been one of the most contested systems in the past, had no-one trying to out do them there.
