Powerplay Faction: Zemina Torval Cycle 25: It’s a Long way to the Top

Following what was a disappointing week in cycle 24, courtesy of a joint operation between the two federal powers, Torval has fought back with a vengeance, securing 4 new strongholds, two of which lie in prime federation territory, a last gasp attempts by FUC to prevent the reinforcement of LHS 274 (550k – 190k) ultimately being fruitless. Elsewhere in our territory 5 new fortified systems were established, including one of last week’s acquisitions Scorpii Sector OY-I a9-5, the next step in the Torvals Platinum Road Initiative. As well as one of our long-standing high population systems Pandemonium. When it comes to acquisitions, I expect the number we got this cycle will cause some pandemonium 😉, a total of 10 new systems were acquired, with 6 of them located in the immediate Synteini region, helping us to flesh out a somewhat bare home sphere. Two of these were contested with the Boss™, whilst another was contested by a rebellious sect of Aisling supporters.

In other news, the admirable Admiral Patreus managed to get an astonishing 1.16 million merits in Dhan, though this came at the cost of acquiring no new systems and losing one. The Boss™ acquired 5 systems, whilst her bratty niece Aisling managed just 3, Independent-erial Grom was the second highest ZYADA member with 8

The feds seemed a little distracted this week (I wonder why…) with Hudson Archer taking 5, whilst winters only grabbed 2, to add to their misery they were also displaced from the top of the squadrons leaderboard by a late surge from the unstoppable force of Swords of Makhai, who put more than 5 million on the leaderboard in the last two days. Speaking of the alliance the mining monster Kaine established herself in 10 new systems this cycle. Whilst big boy Mahon continued to chug along with 6 additions

In terms of the independents, Pirate Lord and Burger King extraordinaire delaine managed to eat another 3 systems, and Antal the “techno space-hippy utopian communist” didn’t manage to keep up with the “CEO of capitalism” only getting 3 to LYR’s 10

The Torval Leaderboard really lit up this week with 6 members of the resurgent Torval Space Agency [TSPA] in the top 10 taking up positions 1-5 and 7. CMDR CBlue22 was top this week with a colossal 3.2 million merits, whilst I got left in the dust in second and CMDR Lekug cruised home in third.
With luck we will be challenging the likes of Swords of Makhai and FLC on the squadrons this season.

Primary Targets for next week include Puppis Sector FB-X b1-1 and Puppis Sector FB-X b1-6... just joking Felicia... or maybe we are not joking... anyway have fun guessing

Those are some merits... BLIMEY!!!

Mega week for Torval, well
done. Some of these are clearly vets of PP2.0 (doing the lion's share on that board, to be fair) but others seem to be new? Are they people on your books? Just noting that Aisling had a slow week and remembering how PP1.0 was 😅.

If you want to think that you can think that, all I know is that 8 of the 10 people on that list are in the torval discord and 6 of them are TSPA. I wouldnt have a clue what the others were doing and what they are working on, we had over 500k unaccounted fortifying in Bhare (plat mining) so its probably that.

Also the fact that the "new" players have over 100 ranks despite the fact they only got at most 500k this week shows that they are not just this week's drop ins from asling or any other empire power for that matter... Could it be that you are trying to find excuses for losing a 2v1 against torval?
