Powerplay Faction: Denton Patreus Cycle 25 Objectives

This is a cross-post from the Patreus sub-reddit, which pledged commanders can find here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ElitePatreus/

Usually either myself, Cmdr Rubberboots, Cmdr Carl D Roman, or Cmdr Corrigendum put up the weekly cycle objectives thread. This week it was from Cmdr Rubberboots, so I quote him below.

Our objective was to fall into turmoil, and to shed several undermined poor CC systems. It's with sadness that I have to report that we did not achieve this objective.
In the last 24 hours several systems that were not at risk of undermining were fortified, raising our CC to the point that only 47 Ceti has fallen into turmoil. This is a system we didn't want to lose, but were willing to sacrifice in order to lose the poor systems. Because these systems have not fallen into turmoil, we've gotten all of the price, but none of the payoff.

The situation is not good, and now we have to make a difficult choice between remaining in turmoil for a third week, or recovering and trying again in the future. Neither option is a good one, and as a result, we're going to need to take a hard look at the data.

Stand by for updates, but in the meantime, some short term objectives are important, regardless:

+++FORTIFICATION+++

If you're going to fortify easy, weaker systems, just for the for merits, that's okay! It can actually help out if you do it now. If you wait until Wednesday to fortify these systems, it throws off all of our predictions and ultimately hurts our efforts.

If you want to help out the most, please start fortifying the usual suspects:

Smei Tsu
Paesi
Cuchua
Contiku
Gliese 76
LTT 8260

+++Background Simulation+++

Never has the need for Background Simulation been greater. If you enjoy conflict zones, missions, or trading, consider doing these things in the service of Patreus. Through efforts like these, we managed to bring the fortification cost of Paesi down by 33% last cycle, making our future fortification efforts easier.

+++Undermining+++

Simply put: undermine Archon Delaine. Target his high value systems, and hit him hard. He just took an expansion that is even closer to our borders. He needs to fall into turmoil if we have any hope of pushing back.

To end on a positive note; some naysayers have claimed that we don't have the numbers to support our current systems. What this week has shown is the opposite: we fortified more than enough! Too much! We have the necessary support: it just needs to be better focused. This is the only way we'll be able to clean up the mess of terrible systems that have been weighing us down for weeks.
