As expect, the expansion effort into LP 878-87 elicited a very robust Federal response. We will continue to ensure systems costing Hudson/Winters CC are put ahead of systems damaging Patreus with increased overhead and no CC income. The Patreus pilots preparing unprofitable systems are wasting their time/Crs; their efforts would be better spent fortifying our profitable systems and they are either unaware of PP mechanics or are willing puppets of the Federation seeking to reduce our CC.
Cycle 294 Summary: expansion to LP 878-87 saw another overwhelming opposition response by Federal forces, the preparation of LHS 1067 was blocked by a solid consolidation vote and the successful fortification of 31 systems with no systems undermined left us with 863CC.
On the BGS side, diplomacy appears to be the name of the game. We had a small skirmish with the Galactic Rangers, but fortunately this was resolved peacefully. With the help of Booty Bay Butchers, we secured patronage control in Yu Shou, making our trigger much safer in the Beta Caeli sphere. The Picaurukan sphere saw a lot of activity, starting with a war between East India Company and the Federal controller in the Picaurukan system. Elsewhere in the same sphere, G.O.M Collective's started an unannounced war to take over the Chimechilo system. Patreus loyalists made several attempts to reach out to the Collective to discuss coordination to avoid damaging our trigger but were slow walked by their leadership. An intense discussion broke out in Patreus planning committee regarding proper response. In the end, Senator Patreus decided to allow the Collective to stay in control of the system, given their allegiance to the Empire, and the fact that we were able to find a system to refortify our trigger. Senator Patreus also took into account the large population of the system and the work the Collective put in to control it. A letter was sent to the Collective's leaderships informing them this decision is a one time exception; future aggression within Patreus' systems without advance coordination will be met with the full force of Patreus and our allies.

- Remember, over fortification of a system only provides benefit to the Federal Axis of Power, not Patreus, and as such is a hallmark of 5c efforts.
- Always drop 1t to force an update to the PP GUI to prevent over fortifying a system. Xbox users should be aware of a lag in server updates; as much as 20 minutes sometimes from PC/PS drops can happen before an accurate system status is available.
