Cycle 32 Priorities.
Time to work, Hudson.
In order to capitalise on the epic events and amazing efforts of Cycle 31 we need to focus on four simple priorities.
Priority one: Fortification Fortification Fortification.
The Empire is already stepping up it's undermining campaign on us so we need to step up fortification. Fortification in it's simplest descriptive form is DEFENCE!!! and everybody in the power should be joining in the fortification effort as soon as they are economically able.
Again for those who missed it previously, a quick word about Fortification Hudson Style - the public Fortify list is Hudson's strength and shield, we work the list in order together - coordinating and motivating through the comments threads in the Strategy sticky.
Like everything in ED and Powerplay fortifying is more enjoyable and effective in a wing but anyone can contribute to a fortification charge in the sticky's comments and every contribution helps.
It is important to note that most of the fortification charges you see on the sticky are done by two or so CMDRs at a time coordinating through the comments in the strategy sticky. The more CMDRs that pile in the more each charge achieves.
We do not fortify reactively - we work the list in order, one system at a time until one is done and then the next unless the notes in the list specify otherwise (ie: "Leave for now"). The strategy team is watching multiple spreadsheets and datamines to determine how best our focussed effort can be directed - us working predictably through the public list is how they can best get that done.
As the great Federation Hero CMDR Blackneto said before he left with the Distant Worlds expedition, "Trust the Sticky...".
Apparently this post from last cycle struck a chord or two on the subject of fortification.
Priority two: Preparation Preparation Preparation
Preparation is what gets us good expansions which in return is what gets us the Military Strikes and Security Operations our guys love so much. Preparation is also the most important part of Powerplay activities as it what dictates the future of our CC economy.
As it says in the sticky we want to push Frey, Yemotepa and Lalande 37120
Right now we have a 5th Column prep on our prep list called LP 486-49: -5 CC (before overheads) and contests 11 Winters systems, this system is very very bad for us and Winters and must be driven down into the red by pushing systems above it.
There is also a bad grinder prep on our prep list called V374 Pegasai and this too must be driven down the list and into the red as well if it pops up on the radar as it too will mess us up.
A stratagem from CMDR Frank K that effectively doubles merits by prepping Frey and fortifying Matlehi simultaneously can be found here.
UPDATE: Matlehi is now done so we should all look around for ways to double up by running forts out from Nanomam to a Control System on the Do Fortify list then bringing preps from Frey, Yemotepa or Lalande 37120 back to Nanomam in an efficient circular route as per CMDR Frank K's Matlehi/Frey logistics strategem.
UPDATE: Pushing LP 486-49 down into the red on our prep list by pushing Frey, Yemotepa and Lalande 37120
above it is HIGH PRIORITY bordering on an EMERGENCY. Fortification as always is HIGH PRIORITY so using the Frank K method is HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.
Please hold your prep nomination/votes until the end of the cycle and watch the sub for when we give the word and we all nominate/vote on the same thing for the biggest impact.
Priority three: Undermining Undermining Undermining
In order to return the favour our Imperial friends bestowed upon us last cycle we are going to hit them all.
You will find the list of targets in the sticky and this list will be updated with new targets as we work through them.
If you are not able to fortify or prepare then hit these targets as hard as you can, wing up where possible and hand in the merits earned as soon as possible each time so the rest of us know if that system has been done. Also so that the enemy know that those systems are being done, this is all about bringing pressure to bear on those that are undermining us and there is nothing random about the target lists - this is not roulette.
Priority four: Making money
Rush fortifying and preparation takes credits.
As we all know, bounty hunting is our national pastime and is much more profitable for us when we practice it in our own control systems. CMDR DavidTennantsTeeth has collated a list of Hudson control systems with full service stations and rich bounty hunting opportunities.
As Hudson private military contractors we of course also benefit from lending a helping hand in combat zones so this resource is very handy to find out where that helping hand is needed.
Let's get to it Hudson, the Empire ain't sitting around with their thumbs up their asses and neither should we be.
