At the end of Cycle 357 Felicia Winters presented us with a significant problem. Late in the cycle they prepped a damaging expansion in Oppidii, with very favourable triggers. This meant that for every merit they hauled to this target, we would need three combat merits. Rather than oppose this directly, Aisling’s planners instead opted for a blanket undermining effort against Winters.
Our combat pilots rose to this challenge magnificently. By Wednesday 882,540 merits were turned in against dozens of Winters control systems, accomplishing our objective. Though we saw no Federal undermining attack on Aisling’s domains this week, haulers kept our defences strong by completing the Trello. Our consolidation vote was impregnable again, ending the cycle at a comfortable 85%. 5C efforts to force us to expand to a loss-making system were split between the familiar target of HIP 1572 and Sif. These wrecking attempts present no threat whilst our vote remains strong. Many thanks to all who supported this huge community effort.
However this was not a week of unblemished successes. The Empire was not able to prevent Zachary Hudson’s expansion to Wakinuke, with a 200,000 merit bomb delivered in the last 5 minutes before end of cycle. Hudson has not exhibited this capability for a while.
This week, please maintain your voting rights! Voting remains the single most helpful way you can contribute, and our best defence. If you have been pledged for 4 weeks or more, please consider earning 100 merits this week so you can vote. We need your support to keep our defences strong, and to keep the screws tight on Winters. The Aisling Duval Press Office still wants to hear from commanders and groups across AD space. You are the lifeblood of this power, and your story is our history. Fly safe, and remember to have fun.
Objectives for the week ahead (Cycle 359, until April 21st).

- Vote for Consolidation! Voting is the most important thing you can do for AD, so make sure to maintain rank 2! It only takes 100 merits and four weeks of pledge time. Here's where to vote in the UI. Early votes are the best kind of votes!
Check the Trello for dynamic fortification targets! This is updated more frequently than the in-game menu. Please, ONLY fortify systems listed on the Trello! There are lots of top-priority systems left to help complete.
- Please do not prepare any systems this week. Spare media materials can be safely delivered to Na Chac Og.
Oppose Zachary Hudson’s expansion in Diegakul.
- Join the Discord for guides, mentoring, insight and more combat targets! Remember: PP UI bad, Discord good. Powerplay is a community game, so connect with us.
