The war continues, with Aisling’s supporters forced to take ever stronger action against the existential threat provided by ceaseless weaponised expansion attempts by the Federation. For a second week, we mounted a successful blanket undermining effort against Felicia Winters, again turning in more than 800,000 merits. Imperial pilots were also able to oppose Hudson’s expansion to Diegakul. Unlike last cycle, no last minute merit bomb was dropped by Hudson.
But without strong defences, offensive operations are but follies built on sand. Last week we again maintained a strong consolidation vote, finishing the cycle at 82%, and our heroic haulers completed the Trello fortification list. For years, Aisling has been playing defence. The Feds have gazed long and hard at every sphere we ever took from them in their backyard: Simyr, Perktomen, Haroingori, Areklici, Asuraisairu etc. We have defended ourselves by turmoiling Winters on a fairly regular basis, but Hudson has long loomed in the distance, his pilots piling in to oppose our expansions and push his own against us, chipping away at our CC.
This week, that changes. The day has come for us to reclaim the space he’s slowly stolen from us, to trim off the fat he’s gained from our labour. Our prime objective this week is to turmoil Hudson. This operation could decide the future of the power.
This will not be easy, a very large number of merits are required this week, and next. But could you think of a more worthy endeavour? We can make Hudson crumble and win back our CC all at the same time! The total number of merits may seem daunting at first, but we are confident we have the manpower if everybody pledged to the Princess joins in.
