Utopian dreamers, welcome to cycle 36! In this thread you will find information on everything going on in Utopia, from what's being prepped to fortification, expansion, bounty hunting, trade...its all here!
##Intro ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░//★
Memories of the first Kenna war were erased as Utopians from far and wide unified to liberate the systems inhabitants from slavery. We learnt our lessons, and in doing so secured an epic victory that will be forever remembered in the Sim Library.
The near final tallies were: 4141% Utopia, 3481% opposing.
You are not reading that wrong. Four ***thousand*** percent. We fought until the last, and won. At times things looked bleak as galactic politics shifted, but the galaxy moves in mysterious ways; soon the tide turned and victory was ours.
A small fact: in the beginning of Utopia, we struggled to get 100% in expansions. We were disorganised as we tried to find our place in the galaxy. Today, many pilots ***by themselves*** got 100%, they on their own had the power to expand a system. Incredible.
With a strong offence, we knew we would also need a solid defence. While Agitators fought in Kenna other Utopians did the unglamorous but **vital** fortification that ensured our victory.
The victory today is as much theirs as it is with those who fought in Kenna.
This is what Powerplay is all about, coming together and making it happen.
A big thanks to the Patreus Reddit for proving to be tenacious opponents, the PvP was awesome and I think we all enjoyed watching the epic space battles.
Also a big thank you to Sgt Jezza on the Aisling Reddit, as without her help none of this would have been possible.
Now its time to celebrate like proper Utopians: with herbal teas and yoga!

##Cycle 36 aims ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░//★
✱ Fortify! ***This is our number 1 aim this cycle.*** As always we need to defend Utopia from those who would do us harm. Makula, Waikula, HIP 108110, Azalai and Dheneb are the highest priority systems. Do these first if possible- we have identified surface bases for HIP and Azalai, so those with Horizons and big ships have access.
If we go into turmoil we fail everything: our expansion, our good systems.
✱ System flipping: install the correct gov types, dictator, co-operative, communist. Get those triggers down! cdca has a stickied list that will show you where we need to focus. FD have patched the back ground simulator (BGS or ) and hopefully we can get more triggers down.

It is obvious from c33 Utopia is being targeted by groups unknown. Our most difficult systems were targeted, and we must now fortify these systems *without fail* to ward off turmoil. Although not a sound metric, report any unknown commander you see opposing us.
