A relatively slow cycle all round, with Soontill Relics off the menu and the introduction of a strange, galaxy wide trend; whereby folk seem to lose faith in their ruling power every Thursday.
Kaine managed to gain 7 acquisitions and converted 2 forts to stronghold. In the rankings, Antal was unable to pull away for a 2nd week running. The gap with Jerome Archer continues to close. But with the recent community goal coming to an end, Archer operatives will no doubt be looking to extend their lead this coming cycle.
There are some in the Kaine camp who are asking "Where is Makhai of late? When shall we see another Great Leap Forward?!"
Of course, they're referring to these so called 'rogue expansionists' who infamously planned the biggest acquisition cycle in recent history.
A member of Vorpal wing (MAKH's elite team of Kaine loyalists) was philosophical when questioned at Dagr's Rest in the stronghold of Nessa:
"There's an old Sol proverb, in the ancient Japanese tongue... Chiri mo tsumoreba yama to naru... If dust piles up, it will become a mountain. In simple terms, many small actions over time can lead to significant results down the road."
This cryptic explanation seems to point towards a certain long game where Makhai are concerned.
Perhaps they are laying the foundation for another great leap? The obvious question is where? But for those concerned about losing momentum, maybe a more pressing question is... when?
