Sadly, last Wednesday we lost confidence in the negotiations with the Federation being hosted by the Defense Council of Humanity. We thought we had an agreement, but it was not honoured.
Rather than being freed-up for the anti-xeno emergency, we spent another week fire-fighting BGS attacks. Hudson continued to prepare Yemotepa sphere for expansion. Wars broke out across Ts’ai Shai in the rum-soaked systems of the Imperial Corsairs.
Rather than not expanding with even or favourable triggers, by midweek it became clear that Hudson was working Ticua. Excuses that they hadn’t really paid attention and were defending themselves from ‘5C forting’ did not wash. There was dismay, and some anger across the Empire. We were reminded that sabotage attacks against us remained as robotically ceaseless as ever (160k merits in the cycle in the usual effort to expand HIP 1572).
We thought powers had agreed to not use the truce to attempt to scrap loss making systems, yet scouting in the final hours showed Winters attempting just that, with evidence of red-teaming (undermining their own systems while pledged to other powers). Perhaps not so “well-planned” and unhelpful to the agreed push for all to consolidate.
Consequently, ZYADA special forces attacked late, leaving Winters in deeper turmoil than desired. We also opposed Ticua and the above-board Caspatsuria. We understand your anger, you must understand we will not be manipulated, we will not be gas-lit. With our cooperation, the turmoil need not be too bad. Profitables HIP 38747 and Siki are on the block. We guarantee: no expansions from us next week.
Negotiations continue.
Highlighted here is the importance of fortification. Aisling is grateful indeed to her brave haulers who again completed all top and high priority targets. We voted consolidation at 82%. Who can say what the week ahead will bring? Good luck out there, and take care.
Objectives for Cycle 400 (until February 2nd)

Objectives for Cycle 400 (until February 2nd)
- Vote for Consolidation! Voting is the most important thing you can do for AD, so make sure to maintain rank 2! It only takes 100 merits and four weeks of pledge time. Here's where to vote in the UI. Early votes are the best kind of votes!
- Check the Trello for dynamic fortification targets! This is updated more frequently than the in-game menu. Please, ONLY fortify systems listed on the Trello. There are lots of top-priority systems left to help complete.
- Please do not prepare any systems this week. Spare media materials can be safely delivered to HIP 35209.
- Combat merits: oppose Zachary Hudson’s expansion to Chang O. You can also undermine Lei Kax. Please do not attack any other Federal systems.
- AX: the Imperial Xeno Defence target is to assist the liberation of Elboongzi. Evacuate passengers and wounded, kill thargoids, complete AX CZs.
- Join the Discord for guides, mentoring, BGS, insight and combat targets! Remember: PP UI bad, Discord good. Powerplay is a community game, so connect with us.
