Another quiet week as all powers attempted to avoid expansion by voting consolidation. Big Edmund Mahon’s vote was the most solid at 92% moments before the end of cycle tick, Kumo Burger King Archon Delaine at 90% stole the silver, a respectable bronze for Uncle Yuri Grom at 88%. Many thanks to our own electorate for delivering a safe 86% consolidation vote. Aisling’s heroic haulers completed fortification of top and high priority profitable spheres. The de facto truce continued.
Only Li Yong Rui, also badly menaced by the thargoids, had problems with his vote falling short at 72%. This sends HIP 10079 into an unwanted loss-making expansion. We will have a different system to visit for combat merits this week, a welcome change from Lei Kax. LYR is assured of our support in this matter.
Some random undermining, unsanctioned by the Powerplay communities also occurred. Highlights included Mahon’s Gendalla (60%), Aisling’s own Asurasairu (30%), Uncle Yuri’s Rati Irtii (47%) and Mislika (45%). Parties unknown poked indecisively at Antal in Allowa (85%), Hudson in LHS 1541 (31%), Winters in Albicevci (35%), Delaine in Huchi (18%). Of course, even mentioning this is a hall-mark of a slow news week.
But BGS wars continued with fierce intensity. We earned a victory in Mantunt, but this week we must weather a major offensive against our fortification trigger across several systems in the Chankates sphere. AX ops remain a struggle. Imperial Xeno Defence cleared Bi Dhorora again, but were unable to complete Vogulu or HIP 8525. The threat hanging over humanity is still very real.

Objectives for Cycle 404 (until March 2nd)
- Vote for Consolidation! Voting is the most important thing you can do for AD, so make sure to maintain rank 2! It only takes 100 merits and four weeks of pledge time. Here's where to vote in the UI. Early votes are the best kind of votes!
- Check the Trello for dynamic fortification targets! This is updated more frequently than the in-game menu. Please, ONLY fortify systems listed on the Trello. There are lots of top-priority systems left to help complete.
- Please do not prepare any systems this week. Spare media materials can be safely delivered to HIP 35209.
- Combat merits: Oppose Li Yong Rui’s expansion to HIP 10079. By the terms of the Powerplay truce you can also undermine Lei Kax. Please do not attack any other Federal systems. Pilots pledged to non-Imperial powers are welcome to undermine the Aisling Duval control system Areklici.
- AX: the first Imperial Xeno Defence target this cycle is to assist the liberation of Vogulu, the next will be HIP 2422. Evacuate passengers in cabins and wounded in pods, complete delivery missions, kill thargoids, complete AX CZs.
