Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Cycle 520/2.29 No Long Faces (May 15th to 22nd 2025/3311)

Aisling led the way in new acquisitions (+13, 1515) as Nakato Kaine (+4, 743) took a breather after her spectacular “Great Leap Forward” of last week. Most of these were intended, and some have proper names: Brulidji, HIP 99115, Ngolona (a tight race with Aunty Arissa), and Kuo Ti amongst them.

We are building a decent lead now over the senior Alliance partner Mahon (+2, 1488). A strong week for Arissa (+9, 1412), Li Yong Rui (+9, 915) and the Federation. Winters (+9, 556) and Jeff Archer (+9, 791) kept up the pace, the latter’s combat power was too much for us in P Eridani. But we were looking mainly to the south where Nora was fortified and Isiti is one of three newly minted strongholds. This number was matched only by Aunty and LYR.

Recent attacks on Grom (+4, 1053) by agents pledged to the Emperor seem to have calmed but illustrate the difficulties in maintaining cohesion within the ZYADA alliance. For our part, HIP 277 was vacated by agreement with dishy Denton Patreus (+1, 635). This week we shall attempt the same in Beta Sculptoris as we look to focus mostly upon clearing our reinforcement backlog.

To name the squad in question would be to award undeserved fame, but we appreciate the Emperor’s expulsion of a bad actor whose repeated attacks on our Cmdrs in recent weeks have been a source of tension. Aunty had been more than patient, given her dishonorable exploitation as a flag of convenience. We hope this pilot’s erstwhile followers do not seek to bring further calumny upon themselves.

We shall see. With our gratitude for your fabulous efforts, have fun out there.

Good to see Granny (+7, 486) and dishy Denton (+8, 631) rally after recent tribulations, but there is growing concern at the attacks over weeks now on Uncle Yuri Grom. Around 10 million so far anonymous merits caused Fong Wang to drop, although massive defensive traffic saved Nuenets and V886 Centauri.

This is reminiscent of the botting that drove EGP from Powerplay 1.0. It would be helpful if power bounties had not been lost from station boards since colonisation launched. We ask FDev to investigate and to confirm this was done by fair means within ToS
Are you able to comment further in the light of the above, your last previous statement on Fong Wang, and the other comments in that thread? Was there some outcome as to the question of how the merits were earnt?

Not to my knowledge. Grom revealed publicly last week that these were ALD merits. How and who remains mysterious.

I'd like to get it really clear from you that the people attacking Grom, and the squadron to which you won't award "undeserverd fame" are different sets of people, at least as far as you know. Because otherwise this can read as some very serious defamation (as far as I know the latter squadron's "calumny" involved PvP only). I only say this because I've just witnessed precisely the conclusion that they are one and the same being drawn elsewhere. I'm sure it's not intentional on your part but you could have done better in making the appropriate distinction.

That's how PP2 5C works... it seems so.

So I wasn't wrong about HIP 277 :p and suspected the same was going to happen about Beta Sculptoris. :p

"Calumny"—what a fancy word for describing the exact thing you’re doing. We have no interest in Grom, but thanks for the unintentional comedy. Next time, try facts instead of fiction
o7.

Not sure posting things like "To name the squad in question would be to award undeserved fame" really helps anyone understand what you're actually talking about.
Makes it sound like you actually have no idea who's being doing what, if anything at all.
