Ahoy Crew!

The good news always first: it was a decidedly intense Cycle, the activity on the various frontlines undoubtedly required effort and commitment from everyone (all pledges). The most hotly contested acquisition involved LTT 198, a permit locked system historically belonging to granny Torval and her mining minions. The battle for its take has continued throughout the Cycle… several engagements against enemy CMDRs were reported, and the Murderhobos have fought until the final hour to secure victory!

On the acquisitions side, also 241 G. Aquarii (contested by the hippie Antal) was taken by the Crew. Furthermore, two more systems were added in order to secure the area around the new Delaine's stronghold (Itzamnets). The Imperium forces nearby captured Hyldekagati and Ovimbiabas. Elsewhere, the contested CH Aquilae was relinquished to the bear Grom as the pirates closed [just] 30k CPs short and the bear also entered in Gendenwitha. The hippies will then be celebrating with some of their weird rituals the capture of Frigga, well positioned on their front line.

Among the systems lost by Archon Delaine this cycle, there are Pemez (sniped) acquisition of the previous cycle, and HIP 112069 on which unfortunately a last rescue attempt just before the tick also failed. The other undermining plans fostered by our enemies (e.g. Wauksarra, Rigoneskher and Turd Wu) have all been countered. YARRR!!!

The bad news now: once again it's the failure to implement the necessary rebalancing in Powerplay 2. There wouldn't even be a need to repeat it again, actually no... so, to FDEV: restore RARE COMMODITY trading and ESCAPE POD merits as soon as possible!!!

As for the other powers, the leaderboard is unchanged... the area around Sol continues to be quite contested after and the shadow president Jerome Archer has forcibly taken back Barnard's Star, previously ended up in the clutches of the Imperials. Violent clashes have also finally occurred between Federation and Alliance forces in Aasgaa, where the gypsy Kaine is fighting for control.

Before closing, a (not so short) note on the events that occurred in the last few days and which concerned the organization of Archon Delaine's powerplay. Some people know more about it, some people less... only a few clarifications need to be made here: the first is that Archon Delaine's power comes before anything else. The main community Discord server undoubtedly remains the one where part of the previous organization decided not to support further. There is no grudge and neither competition between those who left and those who remained, just a different vision of how the new Powerplay 2 is structured and how it should be carried forward (for many future cycles). As it was discussed here, weeks before the new framework was released. Not sharing the same vision does not mean "betraying", there is no way to do it, since inevitably we are all playing sharing the same goals and fighting the same enemies.

This last week has certainly brought major challenges for the new organization, both internally and externally. Change always goes through some phases... hence at the beginning chaos and fear for spoil everything prevailed (pirates are pirates, after all) but the victory at LTT 198 represents an excellent sign that the new organization is working for the benefit of Archon Delaine (then what happens in the Discords, stays in the Discords).

FOR THE ARCHON!!!

P.S. Since we (=me + others) are not using the old Delaine's discord anymore, objective updates (excluding our OpSec/priorities) and reports will be published on the Kumo Crew reddit.

I have no intent to bring drama here, and as far as I'm concerned there should be none to begin with.

It was our Strategist team that pinpointed LTT 198, and our community engagement that focused our forces there from our 1100+ strong Discord server.

Rebel and his squadron's leadership has no presence on nor engagement with our server. We have made numerous offers to them, yet they refuse.
This was an effort of Kumo Crew (power faction), not of Kumo Crew (squadron they named after us). This post is the squadron trying to claim credit for the actions of the whole, and that is the correction I am here to provide.
