Cycling targets module (sub targets) names displayed beside crosshair

When we cycle subtargets we have to look away from our enemy. I think it makes us a little bit worse fighters, and it feels counter intuitive. My idea is to have the subtargets module name be displayed on the side of our crosshair for a second as we cycle them, and then fade away quickly after just a second. So they dont stay, just show as we press "Y". This way we can cycle to the desired module we want to target and at the same time keep our eyes on the target. Many times when doing a lot of battling its hard to keep track of the enemy as he speeds up, turns, slows down or even come right for us. With our eyes down left (where we see the subtarget modules text) a lot of bad things can happen. The text should stay where it is down to the left in our target panel, but also have it quickly showing by our crosshair. I made a quick mockup of what i mean ("POWERPLANT"). Sorry, i didnt have my weapons deployed so i painted a simple crosshair. :) Hope you get the idea anyway.

I like this idea. A lot.

Additionally, I'm not sure why but I can scroll a lot faster than the sub systems are cycled. I'd like to be able to scroll a LOT faster through the sub systems. When I'm going specifically for power plant, I have to move the scroll wheel once, then wait, then scroll one click again, then wait, etc. I want to be able to spin my mouse wheel and see the sub systems scroll by just as fast as I scroll.

Yeah, i hope they like this idea above and implement it. I was fighting a couple times tonight and i had ships coming for me all of a sudden, and i was looking in the target panel down left and missed them turning for me and almost crashed several times. I feel more "crappy" as a fighter pilot when i cant give my target 100% attention. :)

On a similar subject i think it would be nice if "kill missions" actually printed out when a valid target is counted for the mission. Only way to see if you got a kill is to check the mission in the navigation computer. The only time it prints on screen is when a mission is "done". Like the last pirate or trader etc is killed it prints "MISSION COMPLETE" on screen. Maybe add "1/5 pirates", "2/5 pirates" etc etc in the INFO screen top right, or on screen somewhere so we dont have to go into the nav computer, select mission, show mission after every kill. Small touch ups that will make it feel more fluid and neatly designed.

No, there's a forward view notification when you get a mission-related kill. I think.

When you kill a target, the INFO panel at the upper right corner of your forward facing view tells you what bounty they were worth (or what bounty you've gained by killing them, bwuahahahaha...).

When you kill a mission-related target, the text in the INFO box will have a big solid colored triangle behind it that's a different color for mission targets.

With my custom UI setup, killing standard targets gives me a big green triangle behind the text but killing a mission-specific target gives me a gold triangle.

Now, I may be confused about this whole triangle designation, but I'm relatively certain that this is the way it is. Someone correct me if they know better please.

Sweeto, didnt know that. Its not explained i think. :) But thats good to know (still wish we saw how many out of total since you can have more than 1 mission with different types of targets, but its better than nothing hehe). I will check if i see it. We still need the first post feature though!
