I actually use a pair of cytos on my Eagle. My tactic is to get myself pressed up next to my target, sticking on him like glue. Fire off my cytos (never missing because I'm pressed up on him) and his shields come down very very quickly. I finish off the hull with my enforcer cannon. Easy peasy and makes the eagle far more powerful then standard weapons.

Enzyme missles melt hull until it gets burnt off or repaired but the shields have to be down. cytos take down shields super fast

The corrosive effect on enzymes doesn't penetrate shields but leaves a fun damage-over-time effect that lets you smack 'em and forget for a while as it takes ages to wear off. A lot of people dump on enzymes since regular dumbfires do damage immediately instead of doing it slowly over time, making them a bit of a niche weapon.

That said though - I've not seen much in the way of research on the damage types. People complaining "ugh regular dumbfires do more damage" might be finding this true against NPCs with negative resistances against explosive damage. If the DoT effect is caustic damage rather than explosive, then suddenly against engineered hulls and reactive armour they're a lot more potent in the way that PAs are.

From my research enzymes seem rather under powered. The damage may bypass traditionally equipped ~45% T/K/E HRP resiatances, but that's 60 damage over a minute which doesn't stack effectiveness. Successive hits only refresh duration. Am I correct here? Experimentals seem daft in general since they cannot be engineered, I'm not sure what fdev were thinking with them.

Think i'm 2 weeks away from Citos, and planning to pair them with either dumbfires (or groms), rails (or hammers) or maybe shock cannons
Although i'm not sure if hot weaps like rails or shock cannons are suitable for anything except a DBS

you can't just point at the opponent from 2k out and hold the trigger down, you actually have to fly to get the most out

Currently i'm having a great deal of fun with this DBS

Small targets are quite tough, but still great fun.
Doing Pirate missions - that is killing deadly/elite Anacondas and Vettes and i even won a Low CZ

I'm tempted to swap the MRP for another HRP, although the thought makes me feel kinda naked

Contemplating something even more hardcore - that is an iEagle or an Adder. The latter trades some speed/agility for extra defenses.

I forget where I undermined, but it wasn't limited to one power. I do find myself gravitating toward Eddie's systems though, something about his stupid face is just so punchable.
