CZ frozen enemies and friendly npc's

anyone else came across this? have been competing in the combat zones which i find good fun. However last night i was in the middle on one and probably about 20% in all the enemies would freeze and not move, same as npc soldiers on my side. Now, i found this quite funny tbh, and also easy kills from cover. The drop ships still appeared and would drop off more enemies who would literally just stood where they were dropped and i would use them as a target practice. I could still capture the zones and win the war, and whilst , in a way, this made it easy money and raised more kills than normal but to say it took a bit off the immersion is understatement!

Is this common? Anyone else seen this before? a Known issue that just happens from time to time? be interesting to know.

Yep, its a well known bug and has been about since Odyssey's release. Seems like its not something that's going to go away too soon, so I suppose just enjoy the extra credits that come from getting 90% of the kills in the CZ.

As for fixing it, maybe head back to a station and do a relog before coming back again.

You mean on foot CZ, I presume.
Unfortunately it's a relatively frequent bug, and it's quite annoying (after the first time).

thanks commanders. jeez, fair enough then. Basically sounds like a known issue that's not getting fixed. I mean tbf, think i have done 6 or 7 of them now and thats the 1st time its happened. so if its 1 in 6/7 then I'm not to bothered about that. Yes HRDiagram, its the on foot ones. I mean this could be super handy on the high intensity cz's, but i noticed it took way longer to complete the zone as a result, now that, coupled with the fact you cant fast travel back to the station, is probably why the other OP says its annoying after the 1st time as it means waaayy more time spent completing the zone aswell as the travel time.. Yes extended credits and stats as a result, good practice with weapon handling and stress testing your suit timings etc, but a defo immersion killer..

You can fast travel to the station. Just relog from anywhere in the CZ area. Getting back requires a ship, but half a shortcut is better than none at all.

Take a SRV. Actually take a ship with space for a class 4 bay so you have 2 available.

Land, drive out in the SRV, park close and safe, dismount, fight, win, remount and relog.

You can also use the SRV as a bowling ball against the 5 or 6 skittles .....

It's not just CZs either. Sometimes just landing at a settlement all the NPCs will be glued to the ground. Rare, but I've seen it.

It's some kind of memory issue. I had one settlement that I explored for a while trying to figure something out and when I got there the NPCs were fine but the longer I stayed the slower they got. By the time I left some were beginning to stutter in place. It was kind of funny.
