D-Day and the Pollux beacon

So is it time to admit that nothings going to happen? Or is it possible the 2 weeks is the more significant of the two messages? I'm not seeing anything abnormal happening.

FD could have messed up the message and meant to give us two weeks warning, so it's best keep an eye out in a couple of weeks. The two weeks warning would make more sense tbh, most significant events (such as the station attacks) happen during the Thursday downtime, so it would make more sense for any major event to do with the beacon to happen two weeks from last Thursday (So 19th April). But ultimately don't get too hyped up for anything, it could very well be nothing.

Something will happen. But it will be lackluster and repetitive and most importantly, it will be “soon.”

Tbh honest I can´t imagine they do this large scale. Good for lore, story, drama but ... imagine the (probably) revolution mongst most commanders who are not in pew-pew. Not to mention Powerplayers... previous rantstorms here would be nothing against that.

Given Frontier's track record, I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to be two separate messages (as happened in WW2, the first line of the poem was the two week warning, the second the 48 hour warning), and someone dropped the ball and put the entire thing at the same time. I really am getting the impression that 99% of FDev's engineering team is working on JPW, and it's just Sandro and Ed with a "Learn C++ in two weeks" book keeping ED afloat.

when even new weapons and equip at the tech trader appear at least 24h earlier then the corresponding galnet article... i wonder how accurate any timeframes for the "storytelling" are.

I think it's fairly obvious, thats where most of the "shared resources" are going at the moment. I'd imagine that QA time is 95 percent in jwe. They can't disappoint universal, after all, this is the studios big break.

I have a feeling the warning was about the Initial Thargoid attacks on the stations, we just missed the Listening Post as it was a known listening post that was inactive so who knows how long it was transmitting before someone rechecked it
