Ships Daeli FPT is expanding, and I need your advice!

And by expanding, I mean I'm actually going to start shuttling passengers and tourists around (up until now, passengers was code for "slaves").

To begin, I've chosen the Orca. I think it's a good little starter ship for passenger missions, and it's cute.
I don't have the 70+mil right now, I need the current CG to finish (seems to be taking a while).
I may or may not have the required funds thereafter, if not I'll be very near to it (currently @ Top 50% so a 15mil payout on Tier 8 which will sit me around 71-72mil). I'll have to check tonight.

Now, please take into account that I've never run any tourist/passenger missions so I don't know what to expect, so chances are I've left something out that may be needed.

Orca's (and Asps) are discounted by 20% in Alioth at Irkutsk station, I'd suggest a speed build as although it's fast it's not a combat ship try mines and SPEED!!!!!!!!!!

If you are just looking at passenger missions with this ship, then ditch the weapons. It is not worth trying to fight when you have passengers, as they WILL ditch at the merest hint of a shot on your ship.

Go for solid shields that regenerate fast (so highest bi weaves with a boost you can get i find great for this playstyle) and use them and speed to get out of dodge if you are interdicted. Or even better, evade the interdiction entirely.

Take the extra jump range no weapons offer as a bonus, as you want it to be as good as possible for this mission type.

I would look to something more like the following, which covers all your passenger needs, and is a cheaper way to start out.

Basically remember you just do not fight with a passenger on board.
