Dahan Station shot me down

What gives? I undocked doing nothing unusual and the station shot me down.

I wasn't loitering, I wasn't deploying weapons? I was "Destroyed by Dahan Station"... what?

Any way to know why? Is this a bug? A rampant station? An itchy npc in charge of the station wanting to take pot shots at pilots?

And even more completely random I had just undocked from station, was sitting there in space looking at the galactic map, then suddenly, shields down warning!

What? Nothing shooting at me, nothing hit me... then shields online again, then hull integrity critical, then I blow up...

Just what the heck is happening?

Did you have a Federal bounty? And were you scanned?

Obviously starports should not deploy against legal citizens, if you were one then submit a ticket.

Well oddly I did have a 400 cr bounty - but I have no idea why I got that in the first place - this happened when I got shot down by Dahan gateway.

Is there any way I can find out? I was just undocking there peacefully again and the station shot me down. Very strange.

Is it possible I was carrying some sort of illegal cargo? I remember I did scoop some personal weapons once from a random unidentified signal site, I was gonna sell them somewhere.

Well one thing not to do anymore is picking up floating cargo. At least not close to a station. Oh look, lots of uranium, picked up 4 and where shot to pieces fore the effort. Not complaining, just be carefull ing of that station now...

I assumed that floating cargo in unidentified signal sources were kind of like an exploration thing - you find this random site, it may have a pirate in, an ambush something else, or if you are lucky free cargo for you to sell. That's what I assumed. Seems odd that you can't take it, and noones around to see you take it so why would it give you a bounty?

Yeah, apparently, floating cargo is all considered stolen. If you get scanned, you get shot. You need to offload it on the black market, and not every space station has one. I believe iota Boötis may have one (under Contacts).

I've been caught in the crossfire when the station attacked an NPC ship. Is there a way to sue?!

Gods, this happened to me too. I'd finally started getting a hang of taking missions, and transporting cargo in my ship, and then this. 5k+ in goods gone, and I'm back to starting from scratch.

I'd sue the docking station if I could.
