daily log-in rewards should stay

did anyone else find it nice to have the daily arx log-in reward during the holidays? i thought it was pleasant to get a little bit of something just for logging into the game.

many games, especially free2play games, do give player rewards just for logging in. some even give streak rewards, so when you log in multiple days in a row, you get a bigger or more special reward.

i used to not be a big fan of those actually. especially in free2play games i hated the idea to get rewards just for logging into the game. i didn't have that feeling in elite. i can't even tell why. maybe because of the reward itself. it's a currency i can choose to do whatever with. it's something that is actually useful to everyone. maybe that's the reason.

i'd like it if this would stay or at least make a return on certain days. could be a smaller amount as well. could be a totally different reward altogether. but generally speaking, i enjoyed the daily log-in rewards and i'd like to see them make a return.

I wouldn't mind a 40-50 arx bonus per daily log-in. Those should still count towards the 400 weekly cap
It would benefit mostly the explorers out there that do not get much from jumping and honking around, but also the others that do not get involved in combat much.

I can understand why folk would want the daily reward just for logging in but, I prefer them to be a kept as is. It was nice of FD to give ARX as a Christmas gift to the players as a Thank You for supporting the game throughout the year. As it stands there are ARX just for playing the game and from my PoV should never be taken for granted as buying ARX keeps the hamsters turning the server wheel.

i can understand that. but would like to make some suggestions.

first, it should be made more clear that we get arx by playing the game. i know we get it, but i don't see how or when exactly. to give more of a reward feeling, the game should better communicate when and how we get arx.

second, i think special regular events that reward daily login arx should be a thing as well. once a month during a special cg, or during the weekend even. just a little extra incentive to get players into the game.

Over the "Free ARX" period, my only different behavior was that on some days I had to just log in, check I had the free ARX, and then log straight out again. It was effectively a reward for doing nothing, but hey, it was Christmas!

Now its over, I'm still playing just as much, but without the need to login every day. I still check how much I earned last time I was logged in, and I can see I am being rewarded for my actions, but not for nothing.

I honestly don't see the ARX given for playing the game as an issue. Yes they are nice to receive however, if there is something I want for my ships I have no problem with paying for the ARX to get them knowing that the already accumulated ARX from just playing, discounts the cost of purchasing items.
