Coaster Crazy Daily Sandbox Challenge - Ban Crazy Special Track Pieces

Firstly, hats off to Mr. Braben and the Frontier Team. This Ap is simply brilliant.

Right, as your loyal 'coaster community' knows (RCT1, 2 & 3), any good coaster should be fluid, smooth and a beautiful thrill of a ride - not a disjointed, stop/start, fragmented affair. Sadly, in order to feature on the daily leader-board, some of your more affluent 'Coaster Crazy' fans feel that filling their coasters with every conceivable (and expensive) 'Crazy' Special Track Piece is the key to good coaster design. Their creations are, to be honest, quite painful to ride, tedious and annoying.

So, in order to give those who know how to build coasters a fighting chance, please can the daily sandbox challenge say something like . . . .

"Your coaster must use at least six different special track pieces taken from either 'Loops', 'inversions' and/or 'Turns."
"Your coaster must not include any special CRAZY track piece (these will be locked)."
"During its route, your coaster must travel through all scenery items you've chosen at least fifteen times (in total)."
"Your coaster must score a 'Duck Bonus' of at least 3,500."

This will sort the men out from the boys.

Thank you Frontier. Mr Wibbs.

I agree with you, and I am guilty of doing just that at times, but to be fair, there are challenges(especially in the Artic, where the only way to get a real high score, you have to use crazy pieces, or even use them to get back to the station because its over 100 yards high.

That would be a fun challenge and one I would love to try.

Yes. I never look at any of the leader board coasters because they just use crazy pieces to make the ride take as long as possible and rack up score.

Thanks for your replies Mikehl993 and Gruven and agreeing with me.

I suppose I'm just envious of the 'regular' leader-board 'champions' (or princesses in many cases) ability to spend a shed load of money on gems. But I still question whether they can actually be creative with their coaster designs. Well, that comment should throw down the gauntlet!!!

For example, every disjointed ride they create still has the 'Launch Station' in its original place in the middle of the perimeter. I wonder if they understand that if you click on the station (Moon Sandbox only), you can move, rotate and adjust the height of the station to anywhere within the coaster perimeter. You can even carefully 'weld' scenery together to form a cave, then nudge the station into the cave. This creates a wonderfully eerie launch and finish to your ride. I have more 'Coaster Crazy' tips if anyone wants to hear them.

I didn't spend any money to get my gems, I used iTunes gift cards that were given to me by others, and since I really had no use for the stuff, I used it to buy gems and paid app games and some music, but mostly apps(and still have a balance on the account)

As far as moon challenges goes, I really think that's what they want though, because the higher the score on the challenges, the more cash and gems you get.

I hate the challenges on the campaigns myself, where the demand x score in order to beat the challenge, and there is one challenge in the article where there are 5 challenges to beat, and that's 100-500k, and it is impossible to really get above 300k on a coaster without using crazy pieces, many of which give an automatic 10-25k worth of scoring. I have yet to see a 500k coaster with zero crazy pieces

Launch station movable....REALLY?
