damage models for ships?

that only works with the original paintjob, if getting damaged with an other paintjob, it will go back to the normal one.
Yes, if your Anaconda collides with other ships without having shields on for instance the hull gets damaged and you can see the damage directly in the hull based on the direction the ship has been hit.

No.. if you have the gold paintjob on it, it works (I don't remeber exactly if the paint gets back to the original one) at least you will see the damage of the hull

The gold paint scheme certainly does reflect the damage model. I have (unfortunately) seen damage on my Gold Anaconda, and the paint scheme does follow the bent and torn hull plates faithfully.
