Damaged hull using the repair module.

So there I was 1200 ly from Lave. Got a bit too close to a sun and took some heat damage.
So I clicked repair on my thrusters.
BAM! Dropped me out of super-cruise with 97% hull.
A warning would have been nice!

Well this happens, the module you are repairing is effectively turned off.

New modules such as repair should be tested prior to deep space flight, now you know.

I've never used them, but I kinda assumed everyone knew that all repairs must be done in normal flight.
I guess I read more posts than others :)

Pilot: Does that Port engine sound like it's a little off to you?
Co-Pilot: Gauges show it's running a little hot, and the oil pressure is right on the line, but it's holding.
Pilot: <grabs hammer> Take the stick, I'm going to go out there and smack it a few times, see if it straightens up.
Co-Pilot: Uhh... We're doing 300 knots at 20,000 feet, wouldn't it be better to..
Pilot: <opens hatch> Pft.. nervous Nelly.. what could go wr.. <gets sucked out and into engine>
Co-Pilot: Well, that, for one thing....
