Damaged Stations

You don't need to do station repair. You can just do missions from any system where you are allied to a federal faction (doesn't necessarily have to be controlling, but it helps). Plus you can earn money while doing it, rather than simply throwing money at a station to make it feel better.

Just take a look at the Galmap .... they are all over the bubble and need repairing by shipping commodities to them in large numbers. (you may have to check your filters to ensure you see them). But there are currently no "help we are under attack and need to evacuate" scenarios at present.

There are about 18 federation stations under repair, most common mission commodities wanted are

ceramic composites
superconductors
semiconductors
polymers
synthetic fabrics

No need to Do the collection missions, just buy some cheap then jump in and check the mission board and complete the missions there and then, you can even log out and back in and find even more missions. Sometimes I have completed up to 30 missions with a single run through the board. any excess can normally be sold at a profit to the station.

You will not get the rank up missions at a damaged station, just check the boards where you are buying your commodities. Its easiest to use EDDB to check prices and availability of commodities.

As for throwing money away, almost all sales to the stations I make a profit, sometimes it is not much, but it can be up to a couple of mil, and that is not including anything sold on the mission board. I am using a Cutter.

Exactly what I did for the Empire ranks. If I had known this before, then my time spent to rank with the Federation would have been much shorter.

I am working on a fed station but when I am finished there I shall hop over to an Empire station to gain my final 2 Empire ranks.

Thanks for the tips. I was just wondering about the best ways to get the last couple of fed ranks I need to unlock the Corvette earlier today. Appreciate the info o7
