Damaged Stations?

I saw in a YouTube video that the best way to gain Imperial and Federation rank was to get passengers out of stations damaged by Thargoids. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any on the galaxy map. Is this information outdated, or is it just not the time right now?

There are plenty of damaged stations out there but I think the rank info is a bit outdated. When they were originally damaged by thargoid a few years ago the rescue ships were stationed in the same system very close. This meant that you could ferry thousands of passengers very quickly and rank up quickly if the factions were fed/imp. Now the rescue ships are many systems away so the speed rank up opportunity is reduced. It's still there but much less so.

For rescue passenger missions just look for any alert or invasion system under the Thargoid war info tabs. If populated it will have a station with passengers and mass evacuations.

Now it's more or less the same thing but you want around 80 units of cargo space and take as many "evacuate the wounded" missions as possible (they're pods, not passengers).

Okay, thank you for that, but how do I rank up? Or rather, where? I went from the damaged station to the haven space port, but I'm not seeing any rank-up missions
