I'm actually really enjoying the ground combat in settlements. Having to manage your health, power and shields is pretty exhilarating. Running trying to find more suit power before it runs out gets the old heart pumping. Now if they can just iron out the massive UI downgrades.

Haha, console commanders? best line ever!! So i've died twice in the combat zones, but it actually feels dangerous whereas I usually die through clumsiness, red wine bravado or just because i'm crap and don't play metagame for the best ship....

This just feels fun!

Get yourself a plasma shotgun and go do one of those "Massacre the Settlement" missions. It's mind-blowingly fun.

Yes. My AspX was sitting in the hanger with little purpose. I'm enjoying using it as my scavenger space bum ship and need to go get some explosive ordinance put on it.

i didn't think i'd like it nowhere near as much as i do. feels like deus cry with a dope soundtrack, which is right up my alley. overall very pleased.. the vids on youtube don't do the game justice

I got sloppy lately and got surprised by Scavengers after powering up a base - high level reinforcement with plasma weapons.

Literally ran into a bunch of them after exiting the PWR carelessly.

Had almost no suit energy, no reserve cells and they were just finishing blowing up my SRV.

I instantly decided that "tactical retreat" could be a way to solve this unpleasant situation, so I jumped on the roof, turned light off and started to run for my life.

Naturally my ship was parked more then 500m away, so I took a bit of running in darkness with plasma balls flying around me to get to it.

Luckily my persecutors were slower then me, so intensity of their cannonade was getting weaker as I was further and further from base.

I really have to try this in VR, because even on normal UW monitor it was pretty intense "adventure" - my character breathing hard, no time to turn back and check the situation, just hoping I will make it.
