Just thought I'd unload this ...
Got shot to bits by a rather nasty Anaconda with a 75k bounty on his head. Thought I'd give the fight a go in my tooled up Viper so I interdicted him. The fight drew out for 4 or 5 mins with me trying to break through his shields, eventually I get through but I took a hell of a beating getting to this point. The police turn up and I am now watching my shots, I'm in flight assist off mode when I get caught with my pants down with low V. Sparks flying, canopy blows out, thrusters fail, I'm spinning breathing through my remlock ... I'm thinking I'm dead , I'm dead, here it comes ... waiting for the incoming kill shot at 5% hull
... it doesn't come ...
systems come back online, I instinctively push full pips to engines, it gives me a millisecond to boost. "Boost" I maneuver hard spinning looking to get a 2nd boost in and push forward on the stick whilst twisting ... I begin to red out? (wt f ?) Negative G-forces? WT ... ? I'm thinking ED has simulated G-Forces? I'm in a total redout? Of course it does! I'm in a redout!
I ease off the maneuver and toggle flight assist ... stars! I see stars again. I instantly hit FSD and 3 - 2 - 1 ... gone! I FSD limp back into station and put down safe, my breathing and muffled sounds of hurt ship and station ringing in my ears. I've survived ... a hell of a load of luck and a little bit of skill.
I take off my DK2 and think, damn I love this! Damn my own bloody spaceship right there! I'll get that 75k Anaconda another day.
