Dangerous, Deadly and Elite - the new fun prevention officers?

They are definitely at Shinatra - its where I got them - they only come in size 1 - the proximity damage mines come in size 1 and 2 - if u can fit a size 2 that is.

Great, thanks! I was at SD last week and didn't see them; I'll have to go back o7

Read the post, it's all post 2.1.
Post 2.1.2 to be more clearer.

Unarmed T6 with no shields, mining various systems. 85 tons of goods ranging from 16-20 tons of engineer commodities, and high value refined metals, multiple runs spread across 2 days... no massive interdiction threat, no hassle. Oh and that's with an outstanding 25k+ in dormant bounties on my head.

Once I'm in my Vulture and running missions and getting wanted, THEN I get a fair bit of hassle. But for the 2 days I was in the T6 mining and hauling loads of precious metals and engineer commodities I didn't have any problems. And there threads out there of people reporting the same thing and even documenting 50-60 minutes of video footage to back it up.

So there seems to be certain traders and non-combat players reporting unique personalised threat experiences that others that then look into seeing how bad it is don't experience at all in any way... that or it's grossly exaggerated.
Yesterday evening. Viper MK4, 10t Palladium running to Station. Got a Deadly Sidewinder (LDAV) behind. Evaded during interdiction. So he sould be out of SC for a certain time. 5 secs later got interdicted by a [... Jones] new NPC at expert level but he was evaded near the moment he started. 10 secs later again (LDAV) going to interdict me. I kicked him out a few secs ago.... As per FD this shouldn't happen. for 10 t Palladium.
Ok, 4t were mission related that counted 'Mostly Pennyless'.

Yout get my experience?

Regard,
Miklos

I feel no pity for trade folk. They had it way too easy before and in all their ridiculous arrogance they'd even refuse to pay their taxes when due! So Frontier put in a new tax man... one who doesn't care if they pay. That be fair.

Maybe now they'll appreciate proper pirates.

^ Stop flying in such dangerous systems, if you're a trader in a trading ship, you need to stick to high security systems where the police response is prompt enough to save you.

So I decided to leave the planet and go dock at the station in the system. Problem was that I found 1, yes ONE, ton of Resonators (or whatever that crap salvage is that you often find on planets) in my cargo hold. Just as my Clipper is about be clear of the planet, I get interdicted. Great.

First of all, the interdiction evasion was really off - it sometimes happens, I don't know why. So instead of my either having a chance to escape OR submitting, it went all the way up on the right fast and I was forced down. Then when I came down, I was spinning like a top (360 degrees every .8 seconds - something I've been having issues with in the Clipper the last few days) and for some reason couldn't break the spin well. The NPC took my spinning/fighting the spin as proof I wasn't going to cooperate and opened fire. Great. Good news (I thought) was that it was just a Cobra Mk III (Master level). So as the spin stopped, I deployed hard points and got ready to pitch around and pursue...

...and then the other 2-3 Cobras jumped in. Uh, no. This is not a fight I would do in 2.0, let alone in 2.1. Time to run. Only problem is that my modified (clean drive tuning 3) thrusters' boost is only slightly faster than the Cobras. So I was blasted the whole way. I finally got back into supercruise (shields were 1-2 shots from collapse) and then logged. I was wanting to log off anyway and I had no patience for the likely re-interdiction/your fault you didn't high-wake out crap.

I still intend to the test Havalok suggested, but I wanted to give a quick followup to the situation I had Wednesday night. I had 30 - 45 minutes to play last night, so I did. Logged back, shields still drained, waited for them to charge (Bi-weave, put 4 pips in to speed the process) and then decided to head to the station to dock. I jettisoned the 1 ton of Resonators I picked up from the planet before entering cruise.

10 ls from the station, I was interdicted by either a Dangerous or Deadly Vulture. Tried to fight interdiction, was losing, throttled down. Instead of running, I fought the Vulture. I killed him, but I was down to 39% hull when it was over. To add insult to injury, 2 system authority vessels jumped in 10 seconds into the fight and then just wandered around aimlessly. After the battle was over (2-5 minutes), then they came up and scanned me to see if I was up to no good. Useless jerks.

I got a 50000 cr bounty for killing the Vulture, which nearly exactly matched my repair costs. I then took 1 mission to ferry some cargo to a system 1 jump away; it was a low rated mission (Merchant), cargo wasn't that valuable, and the pay was meh (around 124k cr). I only took it for the reward materials. I flew to that system, traveled 1000 ls to the station, and was interdicted 10-20 ls from the station. I broke that interdiction and then docked.

I'm curious to see what the tests over the weekend will show...
